Race for Research 2018
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! If you know me, you know I suffered a devastating loss last year. Fortunately, through some local support groups I came to meet Josh.
Josh is an incredible person. If it weren't for his support I would not be here today. He is a pillar in our community and has helped so many of us when we needed it most. If you can, join us by participating with us in the race or donating to this team in honor of his beautiful wife, Anna. Let's celebrate Anna's legacy, together. All are welcome.
The event is on Saturday, September 22, 2018. It is called the 19th annual Race for Research and it occurs in the Pinnacle Lot located at Atlantic Station near downtown Atlanta. GA. It is a 5K run, 1K fun-run/walk and a fundraising event which raises money to support brain tumor research. If you've not participated before, there's no time like the present. I, personally, will be participating in a leisurely 1k stroll.
You can participate by running the race along with me, by donating toward my personal fundraising efforts, or by helping me spread the word about this fundraising event. If you're not a runner, don't worry, many of the registrants are not runners. Instead many of the registrants are brain tumor patients who are just happy to be alive and happy to be able to participate in this event.
Just so you know, the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation is recognized as as a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and as a public charity. Donations to the SBTF in support of my fundraising efforts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Remember your participation will have a positive impact on the life of a brain tumor patient because it will help to fund much needed brain tumor research. Sadly, many of us don't realize how scary a brain tumor diagnosis is until someone we know is told "you have a brain tumor" or "you have brain cancer".
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my request for support. I appreciate it.
Oh, and one more thing, did you know you can double your donation through employer matching programs? Be sure to check with your Human Resources Department to determine if your company will match your donation. If they say yes, you can double your donation with just a few clicks of your mouse.
Thanks again! Hope to see you on the 22nd!
Much love <3
