Margie's Wonder Warriors. Let's raise our voices in HOPE!
My wife Marge Goss was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Grade 4 on June 15, 2019; sadly we lost Marge on July 14, 2020.
Glioblastoma Multiforme is the deadliest form of brain cancer. The average life expectancy is 14.8 months. Marge survived 1 day shy of 13 months from the day she fell ill.
Please help us raise funds for research so others don't have to suffer what Marge and our family did fighting this demon. You can help us by registering to walk with us or by donating.
This year due to COVID we will be walking locally here in Leesburg, VA instead of in Atlanta, GA. Our team Margie's Wonder Warriors is being led by our daughter Melissa (Missy) Jones. We will be walking at Ida Lee Park on Saturday September 19, 2020 from 9AM - 11AM.
Please come join us or make a donation to help fund research. We don't want anyone else to have to go through what Marge and our family did.
This is the 21st year for the Race for Research, which raises funds for brain tumor research!
If you've never participated, you've been missing out. It's a lot of fun and is a great way to provide HOPE for those affected by a brain tumor, or brain cancer diagnosis.
Can I count on your support and participation this year? You can help by:
#1 - Registering for the Reimagined Race! Click the "join my team" button (on this page and to the right) to participate on my team.
#2 - Donate now by clicking the button to the right and help me reach my personal fundraising goal.
#3 - Spread the word about the SBTF, their mission, and this event, Race for Research by directing people to www.sbtf.org or sbtfrfr.com
This year's event was redesigned to allow you to participate from any location of your choosing. It gives you the freedom to walk, run, treadmill, skate, bike, wheelchair, dance or whatever method you choose your way to a 1k or 5k goal. Participants are asked to complete the event distance within the time frame of September 19, 2020 to September 26, 2020. You decide your method, your distance, and your route.
Your participation and support will have a positive impact on the life of a brain tumor patient because it will help to fund much needed brain tumor research.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my request for support. I appreciate it.
PS - Oh, and one more thing, did you know you can double your donation through employer matching programs? Be sure to check with your Human Resources Department to determine if your company will match your donation. If they say yes, you can double your donation with just a few clicks of your mouse.
Thanks again!

OFFLINE DONATIONS: Donations by check may be sent along with the offline donation form to the SBTF.
